While LCS focuses on the client (where customers manage their individual LCS projects, including the partner access) tool, which is also designed to help partners to adopt more repeatable practices in their pre-sales activities and implementation. LCS offers 600 business processes out of the box and allows the specific partner and specific models for customers to add to the catalog. AX custom processes are documented and preserved, including video of the processes running on AX.

If LCS is a powerful tool for pre-sale on its own, as eBECS CEO Kevin Hall said it was for his team, then the opportunity to add value to your partner IP must be another force - more couples are the advantages. Pence points out in his blog, quick start materials are only for customers of Sunrise.
LCS continues to see support from Microsoft. The service update in July 2014, adds a number of new features and improvements:
- The Business process modeler now includes a new, discrete manufacturing APQC library.
- The License sizing estimator now generates a report that shows actual license usage for connected environments.
- The System diagnostic service has been updated to include support for SQL Server 2014.
- The System diagnostic service has been updated to improve connectivity for connections behind proxies.
- The Cloud powered support tool now displays premier support cases.
- The Cloud hosted environments tool now enables you to turn on/off Azure virtual machines.
- The Cloud hosted environments tool now provides links that enable you to connect to Azure virtual machines (via .rdp files).
- The session inactivity time-out period has been increased to 12 hours.
